2019 OFAC Law Group Eco-Friendly Scholarship

OFAC Law Group focuses their practice on representing individuals who need assistance with sanctions compliance, export controls, OFAC licensing, and anti-money laundering regulations. The role of an OFAC sanctions attorney is as complex as it is necessary. This is due to a constantly-changing list of rules and regulations as foreign policies are created or revised.

OFAC Law Group understands the importance of complying with the Office of Foreign Assets Control and the effectiveness of cooperation. We also recognize the value of students improving their environment through cooperation with others. Dedicating personal time for the betterment of others and improving the environment is a quality OFAC Law Group would like to reward by providing financial support and academic recognition.

Whether those good deeds are performed with an organization, local community club, or even just among friends, OFAC Law Group appreciates the hard work citizens put towards the environment. In order to assist these high-achieving students, OFAC Law Group is proud to announce the OFAC Law Group Eco-Friendly Scholarship. This scholarship will award $500 to a deserving student who has coherently shared ideas for how to best volunteer time to improve the environment, or has already completed effective examples for others to follow.

Scholarship Eligibility

The scholarship program is available to undergraduate, graduate, and law school students as well as incoming college freshmen at an accredited institution in the United States. The candidate must be in good academic standing with at least a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA.

Application

To apply for this scholarship, please submit:

• A current resume,
• An Academic transcript,
• A 1,000-word essay providing a well-thought-out example(s) of how to improve the environment through activism, or an example(s) they have already enacted. They will be judged on the best-reasoned response.

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is December 31, 2019.
